Elmira started learning tango by taking almost all her lessons as a leader. Dancing both leader and follower roles gave her a unique perspective on how the tango can be danced and taught. She has also attended classes by Cameron Bennett’s. She teaches Argentine tango at UNH in Durham, and she helps to organize community events of all kinds. Elmira is also the host of Tango Tales on 106.1 FM in Portsmouth and streaming online at 9am Saturdays.

Isabel has performed and danced tango at Amherst College, the University of Massachusetts, and in the 2004 Christmas Revels at Dartmouth College. Also a painter, she graduated from Prilidiano Pueyrredon Art School in Buenos Aires. Buenos Aires and tango are some of the subjects she likes to paint.
